From Rebelscum:

Earlier this week TheForce.net posted information about a new Star Wars Prototype book coming soon from Barnes & Noble this August. Thankfully Gus and Duncan have been gracious enough to allow Rebelscum.com readers a first glimpse of their latest book Gus And Duncan's Guide To Star Wars Prototypes. Below are some sample pages from the book itself along with some additional information.

Gus and Duncan’s Guide to Star Wars Prototypes
Price: $49.99
Availability: Due out August 12th from Completist Publications.
Contrary to what bn.com states, it is *not* yet available for pre-order. In fact, as far as I know, bn.com won't be selling it at all, ever. The B&N pre-order is bogus. It will be available via Paizo.com and Amazon.com.

"Gus and Duncan’s Guide to Star Wars Prototypes is a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the most successful movie toy license of all time: the Kenner Star Wars line. With hundreds of photographs of vintage toy prototypes, this book gives details on many one-of-a-kind items found nowhere else. The familiar toys that were loved by an entire generation are presented here in various stages of pre-production along with many never-released toys that few people even knew existed. Collectors and fans will marvel at the skill and artistry that went into producing their favorite Star Wars toys."

Also, a reminder that there are only 5 days left on the 30% off sale of, "Gus and Duncan's Comprehensive Guide to Star Wars Collectibles". It's very unlikely it will ever go on sale again for such a low price! Grab your's today!

Looks pretty cool so I may have to cough up some $$ for a copy. I'd really like to see something similar done with modern sw prototypes.

This book looks fantastic! I have a lot to learn about protos and it looks like this will be a great way to do it. I'll definitely be adding it to my library.

Hope this hasn't gone to the printers yet as there's an error in the pictures they had on Rebelscum :S

Sorry, it's the software tester in me that spots these things! :P

It'a only early low res PDF's thats shown. I'm the designer of the whole book, out of curiosity, what error in what picture are you refering to?

Glad you guys like it. Every page looks unique and there are really many neat items in it.

Don't worry, it's nothing major!
In the pic with the death star electronic game, there's a block of text in the top right hand corner. The last line has the words 'decalsand' that just needs a space :)

Sorry if I caused a panic!

Looking forward to the book!
