A while back on Ebay I picked up this obscure Tristar first shot of the M. A. S. H. toyline character Hawkeye Pierce. The mass produced figure came with either blonde hair or dark hair.

The figure lacks any copyright information on the back.

Those are cool robert. Did you ever get you hands on the Led Zep Prototypes?

Would love to see them! I am a huge Zep fan from way back.

Nice

I have hardly ever seen much about the MASH line, much less a proto.

I'll second that, in fact, that would make a great topic in it's own right...a Zeppelin line would rock

Unfortunately, the Led Zeppelin prototypes have yet to be "liberated" from their current location. I'm a patient individual though. Between Star Wars, collecting Led Zeppelin (unreleased audio / video) and the restored musclecar the hobby time gets spread thin. I'll have to inquire about a status update in regards to the two prototypes that are on the tops of my want list. If anyone wants to chat about Zeppelin, feel free to post a topic in the "Off Topic Posting Area". You'll definitely get a response from me.

The Hawkeye first shot was an interesting pickup. I too, have never really seen any material on the M. A. S. H. toyline (at least on the prototype front). The head sculpt has that old school charm to it (at least to me). Imagine if they made a still playset!

Hey, I'm not disputing this is a test shot, but I remember the MASH toys quite well, seeing them at my local Toys R Us when I was a kid. I remember the ambulance, helicopter, and some kind of transport/cargo truck all coming with a Hawkeye figure with unpainted heads. I asked my dad at the time why they weren't painted and he speculated that it was to make the figures annonymous MASH team members.

Again, I'm not disputing weather it's an actual test shot, just throwing the info your way.

Hope it helps.
